 Niven Scholarship for Academic Advancement

 

The Association of Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals (AHVAP)  is pleased to announce the new Niven Scholarship for Academic Advancement, which is available to any student pursuing academic studies in a field related to healthcare value analysis. Recruiting students and new professionals into our association and professional is vital to advancing our specialty. 

This scholarship was created by AHVAP's former Board of Directors President, Karen Niven, to recognize the critical role of students in advancing the specialty of healthcare value analysis. The scholarship fund will provide two (2) recipients with a full AHVAP membership as a student. Here are the specific details of the scholarship:

  • Applicants MUST be currently enrolled at least part-time in an undergraduate or graduate program that is regionally accredited. 
  • The student's degree program must be related to healthcare value analysis methodology, healthcare finance, analytics, healthcare leadership, or healthcare ethics and professionalism. 
  • The scholarship is for students only and may not be used by current AHVAP members that are classified as regular members. 
  • Applicants must fully complete the required scholarship application and provide the necessary supporting documentation. 
  • Scholarship awards may only be used once by each individual.  
  • Applicants or Nominators must submit a letter of enrollment verification from the school's registrar or current official class schedule with the application package. 
  • Applications may be submitted on behalf of a student by a current AHVAP member. 

 

Scholarship Applications: 

Scholarship Applications will open the first week of April and close at the end of May. If you know a deserving student that should be a member of AHVAP, now is the time to make them a part of the AHVAP family! We are extremely appreciative of this gracious donation by Karen Niven to start this innovative new scholarship to recruit more students into AHVAP! 

 

Karen Niven Scholarship for Excellence in Healthcare Value Analysis

The Association of Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals (AHVAP)  is pleased to announce the Karen Niven Scholarship for Excellence in Healthcare Value Analysis, which is available to any healthcare value analysis professional that is a current member of AHVAP and working in a healthcare value analysis professional role in a healthcare provider facility. 

This scholarship was created by AHVAP's former Board of Directors President, Karen Niven, to recognize the critical role of healthcare value analysis professionals and leaders in advancing the specialty of healthcare value analysis. The scholarship fund will provide a full AHVAP Annual Conference Registration for the recipients. Here are the specific details of the scholarship:

  • Applicants MUST be current AHVAP members in good standing.
  • Nominations must come from another individual. Self-nominations are not accepted. 
  • Scholarship awards may only be used once by each individual.  
  • Recipients must provide a post-conference summary of their lessons learned to be featured in the AHVAP newsletter. 
  • Selected applicants must attend the entire AHVAP Annual Conference and stay at the host hotel property.

Beth Potter CVAHPTM Scholarship Fund

 

The Association of Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals (AHVAP) Certification Center  is pleased to announce the new Beth Potter CVAHPTM Scholarship Fund, which is available to any AHVAP member. 

This scholarship was created by an anonymous donor to recognize the exceptional leadership of Beth Potter in advancing the Certified Value Analysis Healthcare Professional (CVAHPTM) certification program. The scholarship fund will provide two (2) recipients with the opportunity to sit for CVAHPTM certification examination. Here are the specific details of the scholarship:

  • Applicants MUST be a current AHVAP member 
  • The scholarship is for first time CVAHPTM Certification applications only and may not be used for recertification or resting 
  • Applicants must fully complete the required scholarship application and provide the necessary supporting documentation
  • Scholarship awards may only be used once by each individual
  • Applicants must have never been CVAHPTM certified and therefore be applying for initial certification

The scholarship application for 2023 is now open. Moving forward, each year, the scholarship applications will be opened in January and closed in February annually.
